I'm normally a pretty emotional person, but I have never ever cried over a book. This actually annoys me a lot, but year... That's just how it is.

Every single book in the Outlander series has made me cry. There are other too, but that's what comes to my mind first.
Life without a good book is something MrsCatInTheHat cannot imagine.

I recall weeping during Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer and Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro. I also cried when I read The Giver by Lois Lowry in 3rd grade and am nervous to watch the film because it was the original book that made me love reading.

A Tale of Two Cities made me cry most of the more recent books I've read. Harry Potter and The Perks of Being a Wallflower also brought tears to my eyes.

One book in particular made cried was Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin. It makes the reader think about the afterworld and what happens when a person dies. According to her we go to another universe where we age backwards until we are a baby again and are reincarnated. Reading the story of the protagonist made me really emotional and really feel for her, all I can say is that I cried... A LOT! I really recommend this book to everyone, it gave me a different perspective on life.

Hi,
I might as well put my first post in here.

I have only started reading again a few months ago and sort of stubbornly kept on choosing books of authors I have never read before. So far, The Contract by Melanie Moreland caugth my heart and made me shed that salty liquid you call tears. I fell in love with Penny. It is rare for you to fall in love with the supporting character in a romance novel and yet, for some reason, I was drawn to her. Even though I knew that she was going to let go soon did not make me hinder the tears that poured when the moment was announced where she has departed from this world. The way Melanie wrote her book was simple and yet capturing. It was beautiful. It is not often that Romance Novel Authors write about love that captures the soul.

Well, I have cried on countless of books but that is the most recent one.
Anyway, nice too meet you!

I cry at just about everything. I definitely have a long list, but I can only think of a few basic ones. Deathly Hollows, Allegiant, and, of course, The Fault in Our Stars. TFIOS had me crying for days. The books that build up characters and then just rip them out of your hands in a quick second make me so sad.

Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma and Half Lost by Sally Green. These are the most beautiful and heartbreaking books I've ever read. I slept for about two days straight after I read Sally Green's literal ending of the book. Not gonna give away spoilers, but...*sigh* ?
