Yea I was the same way with The Fault in Our Stars! I cry at a lot of things though and good books is just one of them.

I didn't cry a lot when I read The Fault in Our Stars, but it did make me tear up more than any other book I've read. I even had to leave the room so no one would see me crying.

Probably I was the only one not crying with The Fault in Our Stars.
But I'm also an insensitive idiot. I need something much deeper and subtle to make me cry.
And yes, I'm very much of a jerk.

While I rarely cry while reading I did find myself bawling like a baby in the middle of The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. It also had me laughing hysterically during my 15 minute breaks at work. 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson is another work that gave me a range of emotions, though I believe that one was due to my own personal emotional ties.

Just about every Danielle Steele book made me cry - yes the characters all came out OK in the end, but the tragic losses were just too much for me. I have probably read about four of her books and have no plans to read any others. I cry more in movies than I do in books. My friend had to lead me out of Terms of Endearment - I was crying so hard I couldn't see. :(

There was only one book that made cry (I'm not the type to cry while reading a book or watching a movie) and it was Peter and Wendy. I've first read it in 10th grade, I think.

So many books have made be cry - I am a huge baby! One recently was Still Alice by Lisa Genova. My grandmother passed away two years ago from Alzheimer's, and this book hit really, really close to home.

I read that book a couple of years ago. It was incredible and I learned a lot.

Sorry for the loss of your grandma :(

"Gods and Kings" by Lynn Austin. "Sarah's Key" by Tatiana de Rosnay. "For Whom the Bell Tolls" by Ernest Hemingway. Basically historical fiction that really could have been someone's reality, or at least parts of it.

Tess of the D'Urbervilles has by far been the saddest book I have read thus far. It actually made me cry =C But I did enjoy the book and indulged in the sadness.

Speaking of Mitch Albom, Tuesdays with Morrie made me cry, too
