Marley and Me made me cry. My own dog was getting old and it made me think of her dying.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, of course, like every other Harry Potter fan.

Another one, that unless you have small children you have probably never even heard of, was 'On the Night You Were Born.' It's a children's story, so it's very short, but it's so sweet. It got me all sorts of teary-eyed when I first read it (I was pregnant, though, which probably had something to do with it.) I bought a copy for each of my boys and the tattoo I'm getting for my kids is based on the cover art for that story.
I also found a picture for my boys' room that is the same verse as the dedication in the book: "For you are fearfully and wonderfully made."
It gives me all warm fuzzies. :)

Many books have made me cry. If I'm being really sappy, then "The Notebook" will make me cry. "Hearts in Atlantis" by Steven King always makes me cry too.

I cried during and after reading On the Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta, Friday Brown by Vikki Wakefield, Jasper Jones by Craig Silvey, Please Ignore Vera Dietz by A.S. King, This is Not Forgiveness by Celia Rees, and many many more. All of the characters in these books were in such beautifully articulated, messed up and sad situations that I couldn't not cry.

Several books have made me cry. Fifty Shades of Freed made me anxious, cry, and hope for so much. I honestly believe that's why there was such an uproar for Fifty Shades of Grey because every woman has seen or been with 'that man' that needs to be 'fixed', but most happy ending don't happen. This book allows for those healing moments to occur.

Kim Harrison's 'The Hollows" made me cry during several books. Charlaine Harris' Harper Connelly Series made me cry because the stories involved were very emotional. Anytime children and death is involved things take a sad turn.

Harry Potter books 5, 6, and 7.
In the Order of the Phoenix, I cried when Sirius died.
In the Half Blood Prince, I cried when Dumbledore died.
In the Deathly Hallows, I cried too many times to count.

I'm super emotional and am known to cry a lot and I've definitely cried over a few (okay more than a few) books: the last three Harry Potter books (for obvious reasons), Wuthering Heights (because I felt so sorry for Heathcliff throughout the whole story), Pride & Prejudice (happy tears) and a LOT more but, I really can't remember all of them.
I just love when a book is so well written that you feel so in touch with the characters and their lives that their misfortune and triumphs feel like they are yours. I love feeling like I'm in the story and not reading it.

I actually wrote a list of my top 10 books that made me cry on my tumblr blog recently. Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover, The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay, Collision Course by S.C. Stephens, Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher all made the list.
