Crow Lake by Mary Lawson. The main themes include love, self sacrifice and guilt. The descriptions of the two brothers trying to bring up a very difficult toddler and another sister emotionally damaged by their parents' deaths, are that wonderful mix of humour and great sadness. Some really poignant descriptive writing.

I dropped a dictionary on my foot once. I didn't cry, but it hurt like a mother.

I cried so many times over "Guarding the Golden Door" by Roger Daniels that it isn't even funny. It's a non-fiction book I had to read for class once, and my teacher was very relentless and ruthless with the connected writing assignments.

The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. Enduring love no matter the age and circumstances. I have been married to my husband and best friend for 48 years this month. It seems like only yesterday.

Several books have made me cry for various reasons, but the one I'll always remember as my biggest tear jerker was Mother of Pearl by Melinda Haynes. I cried hard to this book. I had to set it down and grief before I could finish it. I cried myself breathless.

First book which popped on my mind "All Quiet on the Western Front" by Erich Maria Remarque. I mean, it is impossible not to cry while reading this book right?
But also Hunger Games series, Harry Potter series, books about First and Second WW...just to name few. I am quite emotional when it comes to books & book characters and I love it.

I'm definitely NOT a crier, but some books you just HAVE to get it out (and of course that usually involves someone dying). "The Fault in Our Stars" -- no doubt. "Eleanor and Park". "Me, Earl & the Dying Girl". "Me Before You".
