I believe I have only cried after reading one book and it was over 10 years ago when I was younger and read Tears of a Tiger. I remember finishing that book and just crying and then crying some more. And now I don't even remember what that book was even about I just remember it got to me.

Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls. Yes, you read it in elementary school but I dare you to re-read it and not cry for those two pups

The Elegance of a Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery. It's such a wonderful book and I think everyone should read it.

Diary of Anne Frank. Heidi. Greek Mythology. Etc. There are lots of good books that shed my tears. They are too good that you can feel the emotion as if the book is alive. Of course, death and injustice make us all cry. I really hate it but it's the truth so you can't stop it. And this realization makes me cry. Hehehe.

I have read many books that made me cry but the book that gave me an winning tear fest award would have to be The Book Thief. One of my favorites and also one of the most unique. Death -being the narrator- is the biggest foreshadowing aspect of any book I have ever read. Right off the bat a person knows death is inevitable. The book in general gave me anxiety but the ending just about broke my heart. A young girl alone in world full of chaos and destruction. Set in World War two, the death count was on a mass scale and the violence was so terrible that even fictional characters suffering brought me to tears.

I cried like a baby when reading the Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. It was just so sad and moving and poignant and just the hardships of war and everything was just really overwhelming. So by the end I was practically bawling like a baby-- but it was an amazing book though.

Sandi's Anchor of Hope
Where the Red Fern Grows

Not many books make me cry, but those did. There may have been more that I don't remember.

I am a cry baby, I think I even cried when I first read Pride and Prejudice. Most recently, The Fault In Our Stars made me cry so much one would think somebody died. The Book Thief is another book that just broke my heart into pieces.

I do not cry easily!

The only two I can think of are (like you mentioned) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and the end of Allegiant!! :(

The most recent book I've read that made me cry was The Fault in Our Stars. I was at work when I was reading it too and I just ended up bawling like a baby. Thank goodness it was a slow day :)
