Every Nicholas Sparks book I have ever read!! He always has a bitter sweet ending. I just read The Best of Me and Safe Haven this week and cried at the end of both of them.

Champion by Marie Lu -- the third book of the Legend Trilogy. The last 50 pages or so were so intense and heartbreaking. It ended very bittersweet. I had trouble reading that last 50 pages because my vision was so blurry. I had tears streaming down my face the whole time.

I was about 20 pages to the end of The Fault in Our Stars when I started crying like a baby. My roommates boyfriend to me in the kitchen floor in hysterics.

Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury made me flat-out ball, because I invested so much into the characters and the nostalgia. The Road by Cormac McCarthy also did it to me--especially since it's based on the father-son relationship that drew pins into my heart. Capote elicited a few tears from me with the tragedy of the Clutter family in In Cold Blood.

The book "A Child Called It" was by far the saddest book I have ever read, and probably yours too, if you ever find the courage to pick it up for a read. Dave Pelzer, who is the main character of the book, is a young boy who is brutally beaten and abused by his mother on a daily basis until he is left almost dead. While reading it, I was mostly always left in tears. The intensity of the book left me taking many breaks throughout and although it made me feel angry most of the time, it also opened up my eyes to the realities of abused child cases. It really gives the reader an opportunity to delve deep into the child's mind and despite all the hardships the boy had to go through, his strength was unconquerable.
:( :cry:
The author of the book wrote the story through his personal experience and to be honest, reading it requires a bit of a strong stomach. :? :oops:

Most of the books I read make me cry, but a few off the top of my head are Harry Potter, The fault in our stars, and Little Women.

I can remember vividly the first book that made me cry;

The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman. It's the last book in His Dark Materials and I guess that I got so invested in the characters that what happened to them in the end just had me bawling.
