First book was Marley and Me, my yellow lab was dying at the time so it really hit home!

The Fault in our Stars had be bawling like a baby from like 30% on, my husband shook his head and didn't understand why I would read a book that made me cry so much.

Also got weepy during After the Sky Fell Down by Megan Nugen Isbell

TammyO wrote:Native Son by Richard Wright and My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult are two must reads! These books will pull at your heartstrings and never let go. Warning: Make sure you have a box of kleenex nearby!
Absolutely agree on Native Son. The Bigger Thomas character draws you in from beginning to end.

I have cried at multiple books. The most recent would be Clockwork Princess and the Fault in our Stars, but then again any book because I am a emotional person :?

Well, I tend to avoid books with sad endings, but one that I did run across by was Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. I read it in high school and remember reading it in less than two hours and crying at the end. I felt down and pessimistic the rest of the week, but it was still a great book! :)

Harry Potter - at any death, especially Dobby!

The book thief - i sat on my bed on a sunny day, sobbing as i read the last chapters. Then i felt depressed at the thought of finishing the book.

There are so many books that are a sucker punch to the feelings for me. I cried several times throughout "A Song of Ice and Fire" (George R.R. Martin), and for some reason while reading the Host I didn't just tear up a little, I SOBBED. This all depends on my frame of mind at the time, but books can make me very emotional.

I dont remember the name of the book that made me cry many years ago, but I still smile at the memory of my friends walking into the room where they find me reading a book with tears streaming down my face. I have yet to find a book that will cause a similar reaction.

I've cried at a few books! My Sister's Keeper was definitely one. Also, Bridge to Terabithia, Looking for Alaska, and Thirteen Reasons Why had me in shambles. Such touching books, mostly because you really connect with the characters that are affected by the events.

Surprisingly, out of the few hundreds of books I've read in my life, only one book managed to make me cry. Not only that, but I read it pretty recently as well (Nov 2012). The book is Redemption by Denise Grover Swank from The Chosen series.

Usually I'd say The Fault In Our Stars but I refuse to be typical so the book that made me cry would be "Clockwork Princess". Partly because it was the last book of the series, mostly because my favorite author killed my favorite character. Nice.

I think I cry like every two-three books but I think that that's because of my preference. Book that made me cry that I remember distinctly would be the last book in the divergent series. Cried like a baby at the end of the book. :(

The one famous tear-collecting book, drum roll please... That's right! It's 'The Fault in Our Stars.'
I bawled like a very unattractive baby to this. For half an hour straight aswell!
Also 'Allegiant by Veronica Roth' and '13 reasons why.'
I can't quite remember any others so I think that's it.
Also 'The Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare.'
Jesus Christ that book is emotional!
