Nothing right now, Im waiting on House of Leaves which will probably get here week after next and I dont see anything I fancy in my current small pile of books I havent read, added to which I have nothing on my bank card and Im between credit cards right now so I dont have the cash until next week to splash out. Oh well, I will have another root through my shelves to see if i missed anything.

You could try having a mooch round your local Library......use it or lose it

Yeah good point Ant, I probably have to pay the yearly fee at this stage its been so long since I have been there. I just cant seem to maintain the habit of libraries, but if im in towm tomorrow Ill see what they have.

I just read a new fiction novella that was great! It was written by Pat Brown, the criminal profiler often seen on Nancy Grace. It is called "Only the Truth", and is an e-book available on Amazon for only $2.99. Could not put it down and was able to read the whole book in three hours. Did not expect her to be such a good writer. Very interesting twists and turns throughout the book. Highly recommended. Enjoy!

I started reading "the Hunger Games" thinking I probably won't like it as I don't read much fantasy or sci-fi but OMG! I was hooked after the first page! So strange how that happens! I'm loving the book, a real page turner! I'm glad its a Trilogy too!

I've been reading A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith. I'm 100 pages in, and it feels like a good book, possibly a great book

I'm also reading, and have been reading for some time, London Fields by Martin Amis, which has some great writing style wise, but I'm not happy with the plot or the characters really, so its become somewhat of a drag. I read it in small portions with my eye on the craft, trying to learn and absorb as much as I can, which makes the reading feel more worthwhile.

I downloaded Albert Nobbs by George Moore to my Kindle last night ..... in anticipation of seeing the movie this week & it's always important IMO to read the book first.

I tried to hold a discussion about the hunger games thinking if i should watch the movie or read the book first? Probly read the book that's usually better anyway. But I also dont read much fantasy or sci-fi either but now that you say after first page i am going to put that book on my top list of BTR.

You won't be disappointed I guaranty it! It's so encompassing because you're learning about a new world every little detail matters so it's very interesting. Unlike reading say a murder mystery you take for granted certain things like eating, sleeping etc.. In the Hunger Games everything is a new knowledge so you just want to take it all in!
