 Hey everyone! Currently I'm reading War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy. I have read half of the book thrice already. But everytime I reached the half, my college work would get intense and so I had to stop reading it everytime. But not this time. I'm totally determined now as my college is over. :lol2: Just sitting and awaiting the results which are due in a month. Gonna have a real blast reading to my heart's content! 8)

I won't say 'enjoy it' because it's not a book to enjoy. But expect to go on an emotional journey that will stay in your mind for a long time.
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

'The Narrow Road to the Deep North' by Richard Flanagan. I'm enjoying it so far.

Hi Gannon. I like his writing style, but I wish he wouldn't state the protagonist's full name so often. Usually there's no need for him to do it :)

I just finished, A Day No Pigs Would Die, by Robert Newton Peck. I always loved his books as a kid (the Soup series) and am now reading them to my son. It was an amusing but somewhat tough book to read, definitely not riddled with the laughter that his children's books possessed.

Yes, it's a pet peeve of mine. Other authors do it as well. Like you say most times it's not warranted.
