I'm reading love in the time of cholera and days of abandonment. I'm a member of a couple of book clubs in Brighton so I usually have two books on the go at the same time

Jane Eyre, a classic 1847 Charlotte Bronte novel that mixes romanticism, family issues complex for the book's time, and mystery. I am rereading a digital version. The original I read was a print copy from the 1950's. It had that old musty book smell. Holding an iPad is not the same as holding a worn canvas-covered hardback that smells like it lived a long life in an old library. The words are enjoyable and thought provoking in either format.

Having an attention span of a goldfish at times, I'm currently reading three different books, of quite disparate genres.

The Secrets of Judas - James Robinson: A non-fiction book about the traditional way the ultimate bad guy of the Bible is portrayed and what new historical documents might shed on his motives. Currently kind of dry, but I'm pushing on, I like to think of myself as a history buff.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone - J.K. Rowling: I know, I know, I should have started reading these a long time ago, but sue me. I'm surprised by how well I'm enjoying a children's book.

Extinction Horizon - Nicolas Sansbury Smith: As a lover of the book World War Z, when I saw this series of books in a bundle on Amazon for pretty cheap, I decided to pick them up, and I have to say they're pretty good, at least so far. The mix of genres is interesting (zombie, military, medical science) I just hope it doesn't get too crazy trying to blend everything up.

Stay frosty,
J

Hello! I am new here but I am currently reading Hold Still by Nina Lacour, so far it is a very interesting read and it covers an interesting topic. I just got done reading Looking for Alaska and it seems that both these books were written to get a reaction from their readers! :D

I'm reading several books right now, including:
*Enslaved by Ducks by Bob Tarte, a hilarious tell-all about how the author accidentally adopted tons of pets.
*The Artist's Way, which is about allowing yourself the freedom to be creative.
*A few books by SARK that I picked up at Goodwill today.
*And several books about edible wild plants and mushrooms.
