The Ghost and Ms. Mackay by Kate Danley. I stumbled upon her last year and fell in love! The character Maggie Mackay is a strong female in whom I can identify with (minus the magical element). Now I've read all 5 books and am rabidly awaiting the next installment of the Maggie Mackay Magical Tracker Series! I think at this point Kate Danley is my favorite author.

Next on my list is Outlander by Diana Gabbaldon. I'm leaving for Ireland in 2 weeks and want something big to read on the plane.

:D

I've begun 'The Fry Chronicles' and wish the first book was available here too. Unfortunately, our libraries don't have it. But I'm enjoying this read so far. The writing of Fry is as intelligent, funny and endearing as he is during interviews and other conversations.

I have just started Out Of the Line of Fire by Mark Henshaw, which was short-listed for the Miles Franklin in 1989 (knocked off by Peter Carey's Oscar and Lucinda). It is mostly about Wolfi, a brilliant young philosophy student, who relates his life to the narrator (presumably Henshaw). Looks very promising.
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

I recently helped look through my grandmother's belongings. I found a huge box of books. I'm getting ready to read a book by Catherine Marshall called To Live Again. My grandmother's been gone for several years, so this may be a way for me to gain some insight into her life. I'll post about it when I'm finished.

I am currently on a Mental Health (Asylum) kick and right now I am reading Weekends at Bellevue By: Julie Holland, M.D.
This is an amazing recollection of her being a Psych Doctor at Bellevue Hospital, and some of the more difficult patients that she dealt with! Highly recommended!!!!

Concealment of Freedom by Catherine Watkins. I use to work with Catherine and did not know she was a author. So I decided to start reading one of her books.

I am currently reading "the shape of my heart" by Ann Aguirre. This is the second book by Ann Aguirre I started with "I want it that way" I was under the impression it would be the same main characters just exploring their relationship further. However this second book talks briefly about the first book starts off slow and is romancing another set of room mates. I have a feeling I wi) know how it will end but I will keep reading until the end to see how it turns out.
