Right now I am reading The Shadow Thieves by Anne Ursu. Other than the over use of some words, it has actually been great.

I'm reading Goodbye Bombay by Gry Finsnes. It's a fun, light, fiction novel about an expat's experience in India. Although I enjoy reading about the country (and the food!), I don't like that it seems to be just another book about an affair. Are there any novels about happy marriages?

I am about to start A Room With a View by E M Forster, which was first published in 1908.

This will be my third Forster, having previously read, and enjoyed, Howard's End and A Passage To India.

Currently reading "I, Rigoberta Menchu", a biography of an indigenous woman in Guatemala trying to fight for the justice of her people while still remaining true to her roots. I'm surprised by how sad and devastating this book is but also how strong of a woman she is for going outside her comfort zone to bring awareness to her struggles.

I am just about to start rereading "Heaven's Net is Wide" by Lian Hearn. It is a prequel to the Otori series of books.

I'm currently reading Contact by Carl Sagan. So far I am in love with the book. I really adore the main character (she is never satisfied, always has to search for truth) and Sagan's way of blending science and emotion is something epically beautiful to me. You have the ability to learn a lot from this book and yet have emotionally touching moments. Looking forward to the second half of the book but am going to be sad when it's over.
