Aah, DATo, one of my very, very favourites! (It's actually Arundhati Roy. She also writes some brilliant non-fiction. I highly recommend The Algebra of Infinite Justice).

Greetings Redlegs,

It was probably one of your posts here at the forum which prompted me to get this book because I remember reading a post here in which this book was mentioned in glowing terms. I started it last night but was only able to read a few pages before I had to stop for one reason or another. I plan on getting much farther today. Thanks for correcting me on the name.

Testimony by Anita Shreve. Not very far into it, but it's gripping from the first page.

Currently I'm reading "Into the Wild" by Jon Krakauer. Amazing fact-based story about a young, free-spirited college graduate who leaves his cookie-cutter world for the Alaskan wilderness and perishes. His rejection of established society and abhorrence for materialism raises many questions about the values of our society and whether we as individuals are truly following a life path towards fulfillment, inner peace, contentment and the Truth.

Still going with Mansfield Park by Jane Austen. I am starting to very much warm to Fanny Price.

I am just loving my latest "Alone in the Classroom" by Canadian writer Elizabeth Hay, for me it is a special reading experience as she has such a wonderful way with words, the back cover says "A novel that can be read solely for its language", I shall be following up with more of her novels, however my local library : is closed until the third of January

Just starting The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson (translated by Rod Bradbury)
A title like that deserves to be picked up.

I've been reading "The Bridge" by Karen Kingsbury. I saw this Christmas book out at the library and decided to slip it in before starting The Shadow of the Wind. Karen Kingsbury is one of my favorite authors and so far this one is very good.
