I have been reading the Pretty Little Liars series. I know, that's a weird series to want to read. But, I like mystery books. I started reading the series a long time ago and then the show came out and I got distracted. I have decided to read the series again because the show is completely different from the books.

Fran wrote:The Prodigal Son by Colleen McCullough .... read it years ago but it fell of my shelf so obviously it wants another outing
Good on ya Fran. I am looking at "The Prodigal Son" on the bookshelf as I type. I have forgotten much of the book, I may have to go back and revisit as well.

I am just about to start "We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves" by Karen Joy Fowler. Looking forward to it. :)

I am currently reading 'Ghana must go' by Taye Selasai. It is a great read, about a Ghanian doctor and his family. Just in the second part of the book, although I struggled at first, I'm now enjoying it

The Worm Ouroboros by Eric Rücker Eddison. I'm not really being drawn into the story but I love the way it's written.

I am currently reading two very different books.

Between Man and Beast by Monte Reel is a nonfiction book dealing with explorer/adventurer Paul Du Chaillu's fascination with Africa, and how his evidence of the existence of man-like beasts - gorillas - thrust him into the middle of the biggest scientific debate of his time. Darwin's Theory of Evolution.

Also I have started reading the Depression era novel I Will Send Rain by Rae Meadows.

Right now I am reading The Likeness by Tana French. I picked this up in the used bookstore inside of the library. I am only a couple chapters in, but so far I am very interested in it :D
