I' currently reading tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom and it's a great memoir/biography. I haven't finsihed it yet, but from what I've already read, it teaches you how to cherish every moment in life and don't stress yourself over the small things...there is something bigger and better. :)

Currently I am reading Still Alice, a novel by Lisa Genova.
It's actually for an Aging in the World of Technology class that I am taking.
I'd rather not read it since it details the slow decline into dementia and Alzheimer's disease of a 50 year old woman. I understand the reason the class is reading and it helps me to connect with the disease on a more personal level, but it's really depressing. :(

I am currently reading three books one on my tablet, one on audio, and one physical book. The books are:
"The Hero's Guide to Being an Outlaw" by Christopher Healy
This is a juvenile fiction book about the league of princes. It is the third book in the series. If you enjoy humorous fairy-tale mash-ups you will enjoy this story. However, I do recommend reading the first 2 books in the series first as it will make the rest make more sense.
"The Dark Unwinding" by Sharon Cameron
This is a Young Adult, steam-punk historical fiction tale. The main character, Katharine, is sent to her family's estate to prove that her uncle is insane, and when she arrives she finds he is an inventor whose work creating ingenious clockwork figures.
"Be Real: Cause Being Fake is Exhausting"

That was a wonderful book.

Sad but real book with an insight into what early onset alzheimer's is like. It was a very good book.

I just started The Space Between Us by Thirty Umrigar. It is set in modern day India and shares the lives of two women of different classes and what their lives are like and how they are intertwined.

I read Still Alice last spring and loved it. I liked that the book was written from the perspective of the woman who had Alzheimer's disease. The way the chapters flowed gave you a real sense of the main character's decline. I don't want to give any details, but there was one plot device used in each chapter that was very effective. Although I don't usually care for books about this subject matter, I felt the topic was handled in a sensitive and realistic manner. I read a little about the author and she has a background in brain injuries.

I am almost finished reading Orphan Train. I really like the author's writing style and would read more by this author. The historical basis for this book is fascinating and a subject that has been very interesting to learn about. I am reading this for my in-person book club's November selection. Although historical fiction is not a genre I usually read, the story is very touching. It makes me want to learn more about this topic.

I enjoyed hearing all about the Orphan Trains. I don't remember learning about them in school.

I just moved to a new area and their November book is also Orphan Train. Our December book is Sycamore Row…hopefully I can join the group by then.

I'm currently reading Snuff by Terry Pratchett, and nearly done with it! I love all his books for the characters, the vast world they live in that's our own but not, and how the 34+ book series is so interwoven but you don't necessarily have to read it in order. I definitely recommend it to people who like satire, a twisted world, magic, and all that awesome stuff.

I just realized that scrolling through all these pages is a great way to find new books and add to my reading list! ^^ Thank goodness Christmas is getting closer.

I'm slowly collecting the Disc World books...
I love the utter insanity of them

Have you tried Simon R. Green?
His Nightside series reminds me of the Terry Pratchetts writing.
Maybe a tad darker? Wonder humor though.
And I love Deadboy :P

Currently reading an anthology...and rereading The Neverending Story.
