I like to take them off while reading, and then return when finished. I don't like the slickness of them while on.

I take them off and set them aside until I'm done reading. I like the look of the jackets unless the hardcover is embossed in some way.

Yes, I do when am reading the book. No point in tearing it. It's like taking off one's own jacket or coat to get comfortable, you know? :techie-studyinggray:

I don't remove the dustcover. If I am taking it somewhere I will leave the dustcover at home so it doesn't get ripped but put it back on when I get home.

I remove the book jacket and keep it on a shelf until I finish the book so it doesn't get tarnished while I carry around the book. After I'm done reading I always put the book jacket back on. I love how the book looks with the book jacket and would never throw it away. I find the art on the book jacket usually adds to the experience of the book.

I cannot stand the book jackets so as soon as I purchase the book I recycle the book jacket. It always seems to fall off or get in the way when I am holding the book and trying to read through it. I know the publishers put a lot of effort into it but its just not for me.

I rarely remove the dust/book jacket even when reading the book. I will sometimes use the inside flap as a bookmark.

While I'm actively reading - yes. But I like the idea of something protecting my book during storage. So once it's on the shelf again, the cover goes back on.

I usually keep the book jacket on the book, unless it becomes a nuisance and starts to slip around/fall off.

:cry2: why would you throw them away?! I never read a handbook back with the cover on. My books are kept pretty pristine. I like to put the jackets on the shelf where they stay untouched while I read. I remember I left it on once and it kept slipping and I actually ripped the cover. I actually cried because my poor baby would be naked! Now I know better! :techie-studyinggray:

I take them off when reading, and I replace it when I'm finished.

I don't remove book jackets except to read the book. I find them awkward to deal with, holding the book, sliding etc. I never throw away the jackets. They must have their jackets. :D
