Mitch Albom wrote:"Okay. The story is about a little wave, bobbing along in the ocean, having a grand old time. He's enjoyijng the wind and the fresh air-- until he notices the other waves in front of him, crashing against the shore. "'My God, this is terrible,' the wave says 'Look what's going to happen to me!" "Then along comes another wave. It sees the first wave looking grim, and it says to him, 'Why do you look so sad?' "The first wave says, 'You don't understand! We're all going to crash! All of us waves are going to be nothing! Isn't it terrible?' "'The second wave says, 'No, you don't understand. You're not a wave, you're part of the ocean.'"
This quote comes from Tuesdays with Morrie. The back story of my love for it is that I got a tattoo of a wave on my wrist (before reading this book). Yes, it was a rushed tattoo that I put little thought into. This story captivated me a) because I instant thought of my tattoo, and it now has new meaning. b) it's relatable, and a good lesson.

Make your choice, adventurous Stranger,
Strike the bell and bide the danger,
Or wonder, till it drives you mad,
What would have followed if you had.
~ CS Lewis, The Magician's Nephew
This was when Digory and Polly rang the bell and woke Jadis, the witch. I like this quote, though, because it reminds me that we all need to make a choice, and that we have to face the consequences. And that "what ifs" can drive a person crazy.

I have a lot of favorite quotes but here are three of my favorites that stand out to me:

"“The truth is, everyone is going to hurt you. You just got to find the ones worth suffering for.”" -Bob Marley

"I hated every minute of training, but I said, 'Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.'"
-Muhammad Ali

"Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen."

It is always important to know when something has reached its end. Closing circles, shutting doors, finishing chapters, it doesn’t matter what we call it; what matters is to leave in the past those moments in life that are over. Slowly, I began to realize that I could not go back and force things to be as they once were: those two years, which up until then had seemed an endless inferno, were now beginning to show me their true meaning.

"Relentlessly Positive" When asked how he dealt with his football players at UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel gave this quote. As a school teacher I strive to do this and disappoint myself when I'm not.

My favorite quote is "Hope is the only thing stronger than fear" from The Hungrr Games. I just think it's really inspiring and has a lot of good meaning to it ;)

so I Just read this romance book. :techie-studyingbrown: :techie-studyingbrown: Seems like everyone quote a great book. So this is my favorite quote today. :tiphat: :techie-reference:
He kisses me, so softly, so earnestly that something swells painfully inside my chest. It can't just be my heart because it sucks the air from my body too. It can't be only my lungs because it causes my pulse to race.

If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you.
From "Winnie the Pooh" by A.A. Milne

My husband actually said this to me on our 10th wedding anniversary, which was 20 years ago.
Life without a good book is something MrsCatInTheHat cannot imagine.

Some quotes that I love by Louisa May alcott
I want to do something splendid ... something heroic or wonderful that won't be forgotten after I'm dead ... I think I shall write books.
LOUISA MAY ALCOTT, Little Women
If you dear little girls would only learn what real beauty is, and not pinch and starve and bleach yourselves out so, you'd save an immense deal of time and money and pain. A happy soul in a healthy body makes the best sort of beauty for man or woman.
LOUISA MAY ALCOTT, Eight Cousins
Good, old-fashioned ways keep hearts sweet, heads sane, hands busy.
LOUISA MAY ALCOTT, An Old-Fashioned Girl
I like good strong words that mean something.
LOUISA MAY ALCOTT, Little Women
Life is my college. May I graduate well, and earn some honors!
LOUISA MAY ALCOTT, journal, Mar. 1859
