I think one of my favorite quotes ever is from The Princess Bride:
Death cannot stop true love, all it can do is delay it for a while.
William Goldman.

Each beginning is the end of a waiting. We are each given exactly one chance to be. Each of us is both impossible and inevitable. Every replete tree was first a seed that waited.

...because I don't consider myself a shallow person either. But I think that people who make judgements about people they don't even know are shallow, and people who start rumors are shallow, and I really don't care what shallow people say about me
- Caitlin from Hold Still by Nina LaCour

I love this quote because I think in a way we all aspire to be like Caitlin and not care what others think of us. As long as we are comfortable and happy, other people's opinions shouldn't matter.

People are who they are.
Not who you think they are.
Not who you want them to be.

Note - searched internet for Author but didn't find the quote. I did see this on StoppoppingtheP ( a fellow club member)

I'd say that my all time favorite quote was something I got from a movie called Sucker Punch. It's a simple quote, but it means a lot to me because of how gullible I have been in the past. "If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything." I find so much truth in this quote.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. wrote:A true revolution of values will soon cause us to question the fairness and justice of many of our past and present policies. On the one hand, we are called to play the Good Samaritan on life's roadside, but that will be only an initial act. One day we must come to see that the whole Jericho Road must be transformed so that men and women will not be constantly beaten and robbed as they make their journey on life's highway. True compassion is more than flinging a coin to a beggar. It comes to see that an edifice which produces beggars needs restructuring.
Speech: "Beyond Vietnam -- A Time to Break Silence"
Delivered April 4th, 1967 at Riverside Church, New York City.
"That virtue we appreciate is as much ours as another's. We see so much only as we possess." - Henry David Thoreau
