It all depends on interest, if we select our favourite genre then it won't happen but if anyone starts reading something different then its very normal.

I don't but reading does help me relax so I fall asleep quickly when I put my book down. My elderly mother however is usually to be found slumped in bed, book in hand, sound asleep just 10 mins after going to bed!

I love theology, but it can be more than a bit dry. Yes, it can sometimes make me sleepy.

For me there are certain times of the day when reading does make me sleepy. If I have to read first thing in the morning I get so drowsy I cannot stay awake. The other time during the day is between eight and nine in the evening. But anything past that time and it is like I get my second wind and without realizing it I will look up at the clock and find it is two in the morning.

I normally don't get sleepy while reading especially if the book grabs my attention.

Depends on time of day, amount of coffee I have drunk, how much I have already read, topic, writing style, if the information is new.

It all depends on the book I'm reading. Suspense keeps me awake while a romance novel would put me to sleep.

Only when I'm tired, or perhaps too relaxed. I find it that I often drift off if I am too comfortable at either the beginning or end of the day (reading in bed, or not long after I have woken up).

A whole lot. For me, it depends, poor lighting can cause sleep, If I'm not enjoying the book, I can sleep after a page. Sometimes in order to sleep on time, I pick up certain books

It's rare for me to get sleepy while reading unless I'm really tired to begin with. My hubby, however has about a 15 minute tolerance for reading and then he's snoring...he can't understand for the life of him how I read as much as I do.

It depends on the boo. Some make me sleepy, but others that have caught my interest me make me more awake and keep me awake at night. It is kind of annoying when I get sleepy well reading because I want to be reading, but I get so tired I can not focus anymore.

If the book is interesting I will stay up but when I get sleepy I just put down the book and sleep (without bookmarking) it so next morning I forgot where I'd left. ?

I can get sleepy reading and it's good to know there are others out there that get sleepy while reading also! I think it mostly happens when I have been sitting for too long, especially in the early morning hours or late afternoon. I never read in bed, that's just asking for disaster. I would either be falling asleep and missing parts of the book then or I would be keeping myself up because I've gotten to a part where I just can't put the book down. Neither would be good so I avoid that situation altogether.
