I don't mind reading on the computer, but I usually have to take more frequent breaks due to eye strain and my general hyper-ness.

I have read on the computer before, however I don't really like to. I like to read when I can and sometimes that is the only option. I find it easier to get distracted while reading on a computer. It's my personal taste though.

I don't have an ereader of any kind. I have read on my tablet or computer fairly often, but I much, much prefer a physical book; I get headaches if I try to read on a screen too long. I've often thought about getting a Kindle though; the Paperwhite looks like it would be far less of a strain.

I don't normally read on my computer, but I have tried it out a few times. It feels uncomfortable and a little awkward, but so did my e-reader when I first got it. I'm used to my e-reader now, and even prefer it over paperback sometimes!

For some reason I love reading on my Kindle but hate reading on my computer. I really don't know why.

What I like about my Kindle is that it is about the same dimensions of the average book page. Reading on my computer often means larger pages as I don't like reading long paragraphs that take up only two lines. Of course, some books are arranged such that they have the same page sizes as their paper counterparts and I don't mind doing that. But my computer isn't good at remembering which page I'm on and it doesn't have a good text to speech feature.

If there is a really good story online, then I'll read on the computer.

Yes it is! I need to find a way to have the computer installed in the bed somewhere convenient for me to use it while lying down.

I like everyone's pics, you must have gotten in on some pixel exceptions. Cool.

Reading electronically seems to be never-ending and ongoing for most of us. This site says that we should be reviewing mainly ebooks and some print books will be available if we need them. There does seem to be a difference in reading print, on the computer, our phones, tablets and/or ereaders, I guess it's a personal choice which one works best for you to read your books on. Kindle and Nook have some new features, and a lot of people do like using them instead of their computer.

I really do not like reading books on the computer. I am not overly fond of reading on my nook either. I am getting better about it though. I miss paper books.

I'm not a fan of reading on computers. For sake of reviewing, I'll read on an e-reader or kindle however I prefer a physical book.

Computers are not optimized good enough for reading I think. They probably don't see the need to do it either because of the popularity of ereaders and all of the tablets out there.

As part of my studies, I have to do a ton of reading on the computer, but I find that I don't retain as much in that format.
