I don't mind reading short articles on the computer, but I don't think I can read a whole book on the computer. I like holding one too much.

I read on the computer from time to time. I prefer a paperback book or my smartphone since they are easy to carry.

I have a lot of book on my comluter, because of this I can read a lot on the computer. But if I can choose, I prefer reading a traditional book, not an ebook.

Personally, I think that reading on the computer is much less convienient than kindle, nook or actual book. it obviously isn't portable, for one, which might make it difficult to read in the go. Also, as long a time as I spend reading, I think the hours in front of a computer screen might cause headaches or be damaging to the eyes. I prefer hard copies of books. I need to hold them on my hands. Smell the pages, cry over them, hug them... You get the idea.

The only time I read a book on a computer is if it's in pdf format, other than that I prefer my ereader or a paperback.

I find there is something about reading on the computer that makes me get through books quicker, maybe its due to how many fan fictions i read over the years and being so used to them being short chapters but i have surprised myself with how quickly i can finish a book on the computer as opposed to having a physical copy or even an e-reader.

Embarrasing confessions time - in my late teens and early twenties I read a lot of fanfiction. All of this was done on my laptop and I would get through multiple 50,000 + word stories per day. So I would agree - as long as your form of PC is portable, or you don't need to leave the house that day, it can be very convenient.

As far as e-readers go I prefer my computer because 1) It has a bigger screen 2) I usually always have my computer with me for work anyway and 3) I don't have to spend a bunch of money on a nook/kindle when I can just get the apps for these two things and read on my computer.

Reading on the computer is harder because the screen is larger and I tend to lose which line I am on when I'm reading. I'd rather just email it to my Amazon fire and read it off that.

I do read e books, but never on the computer. It feels too exposed, and too big.

I never read on my computer. I hardly like reading on my phone. I actually only read on my phone when the book is free or highly discounted. I will always enjoy turning real pages and breathing in that book smell!

I prefer read a physical book rather than on the computer. I can use a book anywhere without WiFi or data. Also, I like to highlight in my books and write notes because I like to reread my books again and go over crucial points in them. Also it's easier for me to curl up with my book at night than my big laptop.

I've tried reading on my macbook. Didn't really like it because my back started to hurt after. I do read books on my kindle. I like it so much better since I can lay down and read. Much easier to.

I prefer reading on my computer :)
I have astigmatism so the screen size helps.
I also don't travel too much :)

I would like to have a kindle or nook though...for when I do travel.
Until then, I still say that I love my computer.

Yes, reading in the computer somehow takes away the joy of reading and feels like a task.
