I would say my family's Lord of the Rings collection is our thickest book, but I feel like that's kind of a cop out. You can't really say that it's your thickest book, when it's actually three books in one. Our The Three Musketeers is pretty thick I guess, but I haven't seen our book shelf for a while, since I live at school now.

Probably in a single book (not a compilation or anthology) the thickest one I own would be Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, but it isn't the thickest one I have read by far. That would probably be one of Brandon Sanderson's books.

Tough one unless I actually verify actual total pages of my top four largest books.

Top 4:

Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, all together in one book. Probably could knock someone out cold with it if I had to.

Storm of Swords, successfully put a hole in my wall when I threw it cause I got upset when George R. R. Martin screwed one my my favorite characters over.

Dance with Dragons, after putting a hole in my wall with Storm of Swords I would just put the book away for a few days when I would get pissed at George R. R. Martin screwing over a character yet again. I have to give it to the guy, he is extremely talented in screwing the good guys over.

Under the Dome by Stephen King, not sure if this one could put a whole it the wall as it never managed to piss me off enough to warrant being thrown.

The thickest book I own is an anthology of Issac Asimov books. I don't even know the total page count because it resets for each little book.

One of the longest books I've read is the "Collected Stories of William Trevor." It's an excellent anthology of a master craftsman's tales.

It would have to be Parade's End (Vintage Classics) or Sherlock Holmes (B&N Classics Series).

Other than the Dictionary or Thesaurus, the thickest book I own is The Goldfinch.

Well, we have a full set of Britannica Encyclopedia volumes. I guess they're the thickest, but probably obsolete already.

Lord of the Rings, also the book that took me the longest to read, not because of how thick it is but I had difficulty concentrating.
