No, but I bought one many months ago... just didn't get to read it yet, have to be in the mood and have the time. I'm finally there... I hate it when I buy a book and it ends up on my bookshelf, to read later... I feel frustrated each time I see it on the shelf, which spurrs me on to read it! So ... I bought "The Awakening", Kate Chopin (Collins Classics). I hope it is interesting and worth the time.

I re-read 'The Great Gatsby' about a month ago. Such a good story.

I have recently read Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan. And let me say that is a fantastic book! I will definitely be reading it again in the near future.

No, I have not read any classic book from past months, but I really like the classic books very much. Now a day most of people don't have interest in this type of book. I think if we get new ideas and thought in new books then there are some good experience and knowledge of classic books.

I am currently reading the Chronicles of Narnia, a big part of classic children's literature.

In the last couple of months I have read two books by Toni Morrison -- Beloved and Song of Solomon. I find rereading classics to be enjoyable. I've read several of Charles Dickens books a couple of times, I like his style and imagery.

The last classic I read was way back in April, probably, and I think it was Coriolanus by Shakespeare? I read so many plays last semester that I don't remember what order we read them in!

I have just finished reading one of G.K. Chesterton's Father Brown stories. I I love these mysteries!

The last classic I read was "The Invisible Man" by H.G. Wells. LOVED it. It was so unexpected! As a kid I always fantasized about being invisible. Being able to sneak sugar and shortening anytime I wanted (Don't judge, I loved them as a kid!). I could do ANYTHING I wanted and no one would ever be able to catch me!

I am glad I did not read "The Invisible Man" then, because it would have ruined many a lazy daydream. In The Invisible Man, invisibility does not work out that well. Real life intrudes unfortunately, and there are many little elements of being invisible that one does not think of until it is too late!

This year I also read a few Zane Grey novels I yawned my way through, along with a few Horatio Alger novels - some of them good, some yawn-worthy. I tried to read "The Little Shepherd of Kingdom Come" but didn't make it far.

"Princess of Mars" by, however, was outstanding! The "The Lost World" and "The Land that Time Forgot" were alright. "The Black Tulip" by Alexandre Dumas was one of my favorite classical reads of the year though.

Didn't read many classics this year, this seems to have been the Year of the Romances for me. :-)
