I would have to say the first book that ever moved me was "The Hounds of Baskerville". I was asked to read it in my Junior year of high school and do a book report on it. That is the first book that I just could not seem to put down. The author, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, was able to completely draw the reader into the story.

I have SO many! It really depends on my mood. I love primarily historical and literary fiction. But, I also enjoy other genres. I like any genre of fiction, as long as it is well written.

I have read so many books I did not think I could name a favorite until I recently read The Art of Racing in the Rain" by Garth Stein. This book took my breath away. From the first page I was in love with the main character who is a dog. I laughed and cried, it seemed, every other page. I bought it for everyone I knew!

I would have to say my favorite book is Goose Girl by Shannon Hale. It puts a great twist on the Grimm's fairy tale.

The words, "there are years that ask questions and years that answer" from my all time favorite novel, Their Eyes were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston, comforted me like a warmed fleece blanket when I first read them and they still do.

This novel prompted pages and pages of thoughts and self-reflection, the beautiful language and the themes just blew me away.

My all-time favorite book is "The Notebook" by Nicholas Sparks.
"Night Road" & "The Fault in our Stars" are a close 2nd.

The Giver, by Lois Lowry.
That was the first book to open my mind when I was a kid. Before that I had only read mind-numbing books that are as bad as TV (*cough* Goosebumps *cough*), but Lowry's YA book was something else. To this day, I think the idea of memories and how we create and remember them is one of the greatest experiences of all humanity.

Mine would have to be Master of the Game by Sidney Sheldon. I love the messed up family dynamics of it.

This post is really hard for me since I love so many books. If I had to chose one I would pick Lick of Frost by Laurell K Hamilton. This book has a lot of action, sexy guys, and *SPOILER ALERT* the main character is finally pregnant!!!

It took me forever to have a favorite book. (I could never decide.) But this year I read 'Wuthering Heights' by Emily Bronte; and it quickly became my favorite.
