Heavens no. I do not even write in my books. I have magnetic clips to mark my pages. Even my bible does not have any writing in it or bent pages. In small group we usually have this study guides that have questions and answers. I cant bring myself to write in the book so the study guides are filled with post it notes. The girls make fun of me too. When I was a kid I would write my name or dog ear but as I got into my teens I hated the way it made me feel. I always felt like I was ruining a masterpiece. You wouldn't go to a gallery and draw on a Picaso so why would you damage a book?

I am sorry to say that I would dogear pages. Although I did work at a library so when I would take out library books I would make sure that I would take one of the paper bookmarks. Now that I have my Kindle these are not things that I worry about. Haha!

I just found this picture and posted it as a comment in another thread (because it was relevant) but I thought it would be a good addition to this thread as well.

You're welcome, ladies.

NEVER, EVER! I always hated when people did that, and the librarians at our school would get really mad.

I used to when I was a kid...it was how my mom taught me to keep my place in a book but once I got older it really started to bother me to have creases on the pages!

No! I always try to find something I can stick in the book as a bookmark! I might even just resort to remembering which page I left off on. I hate creases in paper, whether it's in a book, or just random paperwork!

No, I don't because I use ebooks and library books, and that would just be wrong!

Noo, I wouldn't dare do that! I use a bookmark instead. When I read a book I like to place it back on the bookshelf exactly like it was when I just bought it, it's one of my book reading rules! XD

I always use a book marker

dogear pages is a big no no. And people who does it should not be allowed to own books.

I used to and I occasionally still do. I realize that it harms the book but I always lose bookmarks!
