I intend to savor it, but when the book is good I end up finishing it before I want to and then I'm frustrated. Kind of like eating and still being hungry for more.

if it is a book that I have been waiting ages for then I will speed read through it. I usually then go back and reread it and savour it the second time round... and if it is a series then I will reread the whole series in order - fascinating sometimes even after rereading books for the sixth or seventh time you can gain new perspective on the characters and story line.

In general I'm pretty brisk on my first reading of a book. If I really like a particular chapter and want to "savor" it I might make a note of it and reread later.

If it's really good, there's no choice. It's like Starbucks Cool Lime Refresher. You start to take a little sip, and then it's gone and you're left wondering what happened to the 24 oz. I don't MEAN to finish it all at once, but suddenly it's 3AM and I'm turning the last page.
You can't put a rope around the neck of an idea.

When I get a really good book, I tend to read it all the way through without putting it down, but here and there I manage to read only one chapter a day and really think about what I read - especially books geared towards lessons I need or want to learn in my life.

If the book is really good I'll push through right to the end so that I can see how things turn out. Once I'm done with the book I can go back and slowly read different parts that were the most interesting.

That's true... A truly well written book leaves more to notice and learn each time. I feel like this is especially true with very complex books or those with unpredictable endings. That's one of the things that attracts me to a really good book

I always WANT to slow down, but I just haven't been able to do it! If the book is good, I get excited and need to find out what happens!

Finish it because I never know when I will have time to go back and finish it later. Plus if I finish it, I can start another one right away.

I try to savor a book by buying sagas and series so that the story won't end while I still love it! So both I guess!

When I read a good book, I can't put it down. There is now way I can stop reading the book until it is finished.

That's true- I hadn't though about it like that. I definitely love when I read a good book that turns out to be part of a series!
