George Elliot's Middlemarch is about 800 pages, I found it surprisingly enjoyable, although it takes a while to get going.

The longest novel I've ever read was Les Misérables by Victor Hugo. Although it was very long, I finished it quickly because it was amazing.

Oh my, it felt like it took a lifetime.

I think the longest book I have read is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I think that book is over 800 pages. Usually the books I like to read are typically 300 or 400 page novels. I don't like reading books shorter than that or too much longer than that. I have tried reading books nearing 1000 pages or more but I find that I lose my attention for those really long books.

Terry Goodkind's "Stone of Tears." In English it's about 1000 pages, but in my native language (the one in which I read the book) it was over 1200 pages. Generally, I've read all the books in the Sword of Truth series ("quite" a long series to say the least).

Jeffery Archer's "Kane and Abel". One of the amazing book worthy of the time spent.

The longest book i've read would be Inheritance. Though it took only two days to read it was a fairly large book.

I've read so many books over the years and I rarely pay much attention to the length of the book, but the one that stands out in my memory as being the longest, aside from the Bible (which I've never read straight through, cover to cover), is The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, written by Albert Speer.

I've had one. It was around 1500 pages. You couldn't hold it in one hand, but at least I was never worried I'd lose the last half
