Hunger games series messed me up I didn't want to buy anymore books till I had room for them all and know I have three more.
Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him.

I probably only have about 100 books between my husband and myself. I'm not one to ever re-read a book. There are way too many books that I still want to read and will probably never get to all in a lifetime. I get a lot of my books from the library, as it is free and they don't pile up in my house. I have a few favorite books that I keep in case anyone wants to borrow or that my girls might want to read eventually. In general though, I sell some books on eBay and donate a lot of them. After reading a book, the story is in my head. I don't need to keep the actual book after that.
Now, my girls......they have a lot of books between the 3 of them. But, as my youngest daughter outgrows the younger age books, I donate them to her former preschool. I never feel guilty about buying my children books!

Once I read a book, I generally pass it on, so I don't have many. The only ones I keep are the ones that I want to refer back to later for advice or how-to.

Oh-em-gee. Did he live in a fortress of books? A castle? A library? That's legendary... Did he read them all? That is very interesting...

Philosophy is pretty cool. I don't have many on the subject, either though.

Apperently his dad collected books. From the way he talked, they lived in a mansion in Crete. I think he was only 16.

Wow that's pretty impressive... That kind of parent would be amazing. You'd never run out of books! But really, so young! Do you remember who he is?

None. I've never owned a book. But I've read a couple.
Me: Darling, will you marry me?
Darling: Depends on how many books you own.
Me: None.
Darling: None? Never.
