My husband is afraid to let me get books, cuz he knows that I could break the bank and take up all the space in the house, before we moved i donated all my books. I have way too many to count on my kindle and if i can't get it on my kindle I will borrow it from my library.

A couple hundred maybe, both ebooks and printed ones. I can never really count as I have books in my childhood home and my own place.

My sister started off an operation in 2013 of giving out my books. Her goal is to leave me with only a thousand....yeah you guessed it....she's still at it and the house rule is no buying hard copy until am married so am left with borrowing and online. I wish I could complain about this if I was not out of control with books.

Not much. I move a lot, so I always go through my books and donate them. But when I settle down, I'm gonna have a big study with big walls filled with books!

I have maybe 100 books. I recently returned from the Peace Corps and shortly thereafter moved out of state, so I pared down my collection quite a bit. I'm now moving towards donating books I don't plan to read again or that lack strong sentimental value so that my physical collection is a well curated of well-loved books.

I've lost count actually. I have a list of my favorite authors and all their books so that I can tick off the ones I have read. Those alone are in the hundreds now.

I used to have many hundreds, but I downsized when I went to college. Since then, I have stuck with just owning some favorites I read over and over again and only buying new books I know I will love. I tend to get "new" fiction books from garage sales/book sales and then rehome them after reading unless they are a new favorite.
