It depends on the book. If I'm really not into the book, I can fall asleep. If I love the book, I will read all night.

I usually read a few chapters before I go to bed.

I absolutely love reading before I go to sleep but it doesn't put me to sleep. If I am reading a very good book I want to keep reading til the end. I have a problem where I stay up way to late sometimes in order to finish reading.

I don't read before sleeping because I know I won't put it down in time. It's also not very good for my eyes, so I try not to, though sometimes I will if I just can't put the novel down. I try to listen to audibooks instead. More comfortable and I don't need to have a light on.

I too love reading before bed. It helps to create more vivid dreams at night :)

As an introvert, reading before sleep can help me defrag my brain.

But. I can get an entitlement attitude of "I deserve this" and read long past when I should have been sleeping. Even miserable with fatigue, still reading. Obey your body.

Yes. I always feel like reading at least a chapter before trying to sleep. Unfortunately though sometimes this means I stay up ridiculously late on a weeknight to finish the book and am sleepy all day.

I love to read before bed but I think it also depends on the book, sometimes I like the book so much that I can't go to sleep until I finish it. Books don't always have a calming effect on me.I have to make smart choices on weekdays or else I'm going to have to survive on large intakes of coffee throughout the day.

I definitely have to read before I go to sleep but it can sometimes backfire if I get into the story. There have been times where I have stayed up all night in order to finish a book which doesn't always work out well with my school and work schedule.

I love reading before bed, especially if I've had a long or busy day. It relaxes me and gets me sleepy enough to fall asleep.

I absolutely love to read, I seriously need rehab...if I read before bed I never actually make it to sleep and end up running off of fumes and coffee for the entire day. So I try not to read before bed unless its the weekend or a holiday.

I guess for me, it depends on the book. If I'm really into the story, I will want to stay awake more, and I end up tired the next day. Then I won't be able to read the next day because I will fall asleep too fast. But if it's a "normal" story then I can read a few pages. I never HAVE TO read anything to help me sleep, and I don't fall asleep while reading.

I've found reading before going to sleep extremely relaxing, though sometimes you come across those books that make it hard to put down and inevitably, you end up spending the whole night reading.

I read before I sleep every night. It's the best sleeping medicine there is. It puts me right out,
