I have never in my whole life ever sneaked a peek at the end of a book. :P I haven't even ever looked at the middle of a book to see if I will read it because I hate spoilers and I'm always scared that I'll see a spoiler and I'll remember it and ruin the whole book for myself. If I ever did read the ending before the middle then I would feel like it's kind of useless to even finish the book.

I will if I feel like the book is dragging on too much. I'll start skimming to reach "better" parts and if that doesn't work I'll flip to the last few pages and see how it concludes. I read a lot of romance novels so there is almost always a happy ending, that part is never a surprise so I don't feel like I'm ruining it too much. :D

This is something I try to avoid at ALL costs! I avoid spoiler reviews, reading the end, or talking to people that have read the book I am currently on.

I have a few times, but not always. I dont like spoiling the end.

Always. For fiction. Not for non-fiction though. I love happy endings so I always read the end before starting to read a story to make sure the ending is to my liking. I consider it a waste of my time reading a book whose ending I hate.

Hi!

No, I never do that. It ruins the suspense, the book can become a bit boring if I know how it will end. I like the tention, when you don't know exactly what will happen next. When you can only guess the following happenings... I think the work would lose it's purpose If it would be read like that. OK, maybe it's different for somebody in school who is in a hurry and has something to read for his homework. But otherwise I never did that, because the reading loses the charm,...

Once as a child, on a dare, I read the last page of Johnny Tremaine, and instantly spoilered myself. Never again.

I don't think that I have ever sneaked to the end of the book. I had a friend who would do it every time she started a new book, but I always wanted to be surprised.

Almost every time I pick up a new book. I love watching how the author creates the story, builds the characters, arranges the narrative to meet the ending. The exception is for my favorite authors, I understand their cadence and trust them to do a fine job in getting me from beginning to end.

I can honestly say I've never done this. Often I don't even read the full synopsis because I like to go in knowing as little as possible. I also don't read other reviews before reading and if I'm reviewing writing my own .

I have never done this! But...one of my previous students used to this during her free time reading and it bugged me to no end. :lol2:
