I just started reading some free e-books because I was looking for some really old titles that were out of print. I used to be totally against reading on a e-reader but now I'm thinking they are not so bad. I still love my old paper books with the old smell. I wouldn't mind getting more free e-books but I am opposed to the sites that make you give them your credit card number even though they don't charge you anything for the book.

I read quite a few this summer. I discovered a couple of new favorite authors in the process, but several duds as well.

The last 12 books I've read have been free ebooks! It's so easy and convenient, not to mention you can't beat free! The downside, it's usually a series and I end up having to buy the rest because I get hooked!

I prefer not to read e-books. Nothing can beat a real hard or soft cover book in your own hands.

I do read free e-books. In fact my number 1 favorite book ever was a free e-book.
Long time Coming by Edie Claire. I literally couldn't put the book down while on vacation!

Free ebooks are so hard to say no to. They are like an addiction!

I love reading and I love getting free things, so yes, I read free books quite often! Like many others have already said, all of the great classics are available for free download on Kindle and Nook, so quality vs. price is not an issue.

If it's a book that sounds good, especially if it's by an author I know, then yeah, free is great. Sometimes you can get the first one of a series for free though and then you are sucked into buying the rest of the series so that you can find out how it all ends. Not so great then.

I haven't paid for an ebook in I don't know how long! Always free books for me! I love finding new authors that way!

I like free ebooks but I'll also read paid ebooks. Just depends on the reviews I read or if I'm friends with the author. I love supporting indies.
