I never read e-books and i will never read e-books. I only read physical books and i will only read physical books.
A mistake is simply another way of doing things

Free eBooks are wonderful! I absolutely read them! :D I do enjoy physical books too, but I find the Kindle is more manageable for traveling and less of a chance of damaging physical books when I'm up and about.

I usually never read free e-books unless it's for a review or if it's a book I can't find anywhere else. I've also downloaded free e-books just to have something on my phone in case I get bored and I don't want to carry around a big book.
I will always prefer reading physical copies of books and I don't think I will ever be willing to pay for an e-book.

I love free ebooks. I have quite a few of them and if you look often enough you can find some mainstream authors who have a free book pop up once in a while. Having only one income puts us on a tight budget so free books are the way to go.

I rarely read the free books, unless to review them, or if they come highly recommended. If you are trying to get a survey of the population though, I can say that at least two members of my family read almost exclusively free/cheap books they find.

I only read paper books until I joined this book club and even the review team. I must say I equally enjoy e-books just as I do paper ones. The only difference is that i don't read as long on e-books as I do on paper books because constant looking on a phone especially on prints with no images makes my eyes feel heavy, so I rest my eyes every few hours.

I love free ebooks! I'm even subscribed to a few sites that send daily email updates about free or discounted ebooks that are available. However, there are so many terribly written ebooks out there that I'm very critical and selective about which ones I will actually sit down and finish (unless it's a romance, my standards are much lower for these...). I'll sit down and flip through a few pages and very quickly toss it if I don't think it'll be worth my time. There are thousands of free Kindle books and I'm definitely not going to waste my time finishing terrible ones when there are so many highly rated books out there that I haven't read.

I would say the most important thing is a quality of the book. Its price comes later, and if you can get it free then even better. Many free e-books are too short or poorly written. That is the reason why you can find them totally free.

Since books are expensive, Project Gutenberg is my go-to site for books, and although they're not books per se, I enjoy collecting articles on Jstor.

Majority of the books in my kindle library are free, but if there's something recommended to me by a friend or is my type of dystopian story with amazing reviews, I'll buy it.
