Finished Conclave: Lazarus, vol 3 by Greg Rucka and rated it a 4 out of 4.
What is grief, if not love persevering?
Grief is just love with no place to go.

The writing style is flippant, the second half of the book is rushed and trite, too many events are fortuitously coincidental, the plot is full of serious holes and stupid ideas (like emerging back in 1970 into a nudist colony), and the science is unconvincing and poorly explained.
There are dumb side stories about Dan's cat, Petronius, and his relationship with a little girl, Ricky, that are given too much oxygen and are just silly romantic notions that detract from the narrative.
It's easy to read and not without some humour, but it has serious flaws that make it very unsatisfying and not even close to quality science fiction writing.
2.5 stars out of 5.

This is the second book of her Neapolitan series and continues the stories of Lila and Elena as they grow to adulthood in a poverty stricken neighbourhood of Naples. As the two girls move through school and early adulthood their lives converge and diverge as they compete and make choices but through it all the strong bond of childhood and neighbourhood hold.
As with the first book, My Brilliant Friend, this one also has a cast of characters as diverse, colourfull, violent, unpredictable and eclectic as the back streets of Naples.
I love these book and I love Elene Ferrante's style of writing ... the book read almost as a memoir.
The third book, Those Who Leave and Those Who Stay, is already downloaded and waiting on my Kindle ... can't wait to start reading it.
I highly recommend this series and give The Story of a New Name 4/4*
A world is born again that never dies.
