Note, votes for book of the month are weighted by participation in the actual book of the month discussions. All members get at least one vote. Members also get an additional vote for each post they ever made in the book of the month discussion forum up to 100 total votes per member. If you have questions or suggestions about this or anything, simply make a post in the Suggestion Box.

Nominate a Book to be Book of the Month for Next Time

To nominate a book for book of the month, simply go to that book's page on Bookshelves and click Nominate for Book of the Month underneath the book cover.

To find a book, as always just click the blue Find a Book link that is on the top-right side of every page on Bookshelves.

If you have a book in mind to nominate, it is probably already in either your want to read shelf or 4 out of 4 star shelf, so you can also click the blue Your Shelves link in those top-right navigation links to browse your own shelves and easily find the book you want to nominate.

Other Books of the Month

Please make to read and join the discussion of all the other recent and upcoming books of the month. The more you participate in the book of the month forum, the more weight your vote for book of the month will have.

How the Process Works

This is currently the nomination stage. During the nomination stage, any number of books can be nominated. You can also change your nomination to a different book during this stage.

When the nomination stage closes, a "run-off vote" will be held between only the top books with the most nominations. If the book you nominated is selected as one of the 4 for the "run-off vote", you will not need to revote. Your nomination will automatically convert into a vote. However, you can change your vote to one of the other nominated books if you wish until the vote closes. While a vote is ongoing, you can still nominate new books for the next time.
